About Teresa Lines
Teresa Lines is a dynamic and professional individual with wide-ranging experience in incident management, operations management and accident investigation. Her areas of expertise include conflict management, safeguarding, compliance training platforms, risk assessment and mitigation, customer relationship management, team training and leadership, and cross-cultural team collaboration.
Career History
Since 2022, Terri Lines has been the deputy project manager, logistics manager and security supervisor at G4S Risk Consulting Limited, a humanitarian team that supports the work of the FCDO (Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office). In this role, Ms Lines manages the day-to-day running of the project, supports the FCDO by producing databases to ensure full compliance and manages the day-to-day operations regarding refugees through various stakeholders. She also acts as the subject matter expert for all training platforms associated with the project.
Prior to this role, Ms Lines was a freelance close protection management operative. As such, she was responsible for the strategic planning, risk mitigation and coordination of security measures to identify and diffuse potential threats to ensure the wellbeing of protected individuals.
Professional Development
Ms Lines has undertaken a plethora of professional development courses and certifications, including Emergency Paediatric First Aid Level 3, First Aid Response Level 3, Crowd Safety Management Level 5, a problem solving managers course, a diploma in management and leadership, and Conflict Management Within the Private Security Industry Level 3. She also holds a degree in hospitality management and a City & Guilds qualification in hospitality and catering.
Military Career
Having formerly served as a chef in the 6th Battalion Light Infantry in Somerset, Ms Lines has retained an interest in keeping fit and healthy and follows a structured routine to maintain a healthy work-life balance. She also remains a keen cook and likes to keep up to date with new exotic dishes and recipes. In 2017 she climbed to Mount Everest’s Base Camp 2 and since then has taken a keen interest in the mountain and its history.
During her time in the Light Infantry, Ms Lines operated at sergeant level within B company, which has its headquarters in Exeter. She managed and led a team of junior staff while also overseeing the feeding of nearly 800 troops, planned and prepared battalion events, and competed in battalion and company-level shooting competitions.
Hobbies & Interests
When she’s not working, Ms Lines loves to travel; over the next five years, her goal is to visit Petra in Jordan, Washington DC, Russia, Sri Lanka and India. She also enjoys walking, particularly around her local area of Dorset and along the coast of Scotland.
